Five Years, One Purposeful Path
From a single rented room to a full-spectrum educational family — here's how it unfolded, year by year.
The Beginning
Nitin Saxena founded Kriya Coaching Classes in Yelahanka with a single conviction — that education should light a fire, not just fill a pail. Our very first student, Vikrant, enrolled in a small rented room with nothing but a whiteboard and a big dream.
Building Trust
Word of mouth from happy parents brought our first real growth. Our early batches began delivering strong board results, and 15+ schools started recommending Kriya to their students — competitive exam training for NEET and KCET began in earnest.
Expanding Horizons
We crossed 200 students and launched new verticals — NIOS preparation, merit & need-based Scholarship Programs, and our Mental Health & counseling initiative — because we believe holistic growth matters as much as academic scores.
Learning Beyond the Center
Our students stepped beyond the classroom with visits to the IISc Open Day and the Science Gallery Bengaluru exhibition — hands-on experiences with real research and scientific innovation that sparked curiosity and broadened their view of learning.
A Growing Family
Today, Kriya serves 500+ students from 55+ schools across Bengaluru with 100% results across all grades — and we're just getting started. Five years in, our purpose remains exactly what it was on day one.
The Road Wasn't Always Smooth
Real trust is built on honesty. Here are a few challenges we faced — and what they taught us.
Pivoting Through the Pandemic
When in-person classes became impossible, we had to rebuild our teaching model overnight. We learned to keep our personal touch alive even through a screen — and came back stronger and more resilient.
Growing Without Losing Ourselves
As demand grew, the temptation to expand batch sizes was real. We chose to cap every batch at 8–15 students instead — even if it meant slower growth — because every student deserves to be known by name.
Marks Aren't Everything
Watching bright students struggle silently with stress taught us that academic excellence without emotional wellbeing is incomplete. That's why mental health support is now woven into everything we do.
Believing In Every Student
Not every student who walked through our doors was a "topper" on day one. We learned that consistent belief, not just skill, is often what turns a struggling student into a confident achiever.
